Seattle's after-work crowd splits two ways: Capitol Hill, the Pike/Pine grid of cocktail bars and neighborhood rooms — or Ballard, the Ballard Avenue strip of pizza counters and tasting menus. Same city, different night. Here is how the cited windows compare.

Capitol Hill: the cocktail grid

Tavern Law (1406 12th Ave) posts the most detailed board on the Hill: every day 5–7 PM downstairs, with Asahi $5, house wine $7, $10–$13 cocktails, popcorn chicken $9, mac and cheese $11, and the Tavern Burger with fries $15. Harry's Fine Foods (601 Bellevue Ave E) posts the shortest window: Monday–Friday 5–6 PM, one hour, with the Bartender's Roulette at $13, fries $7, endive salad $12, and a smash burger that only appears during the hour. The Hill is for planned nights: short clocks, printed boards, no second act upstairs.

Ballard: the avenue crawl

Ballard Pizza Co. (5205 Ballard Ave NW) posts daily 4–6 PM plus $6 slices every day from open to close, all-day happy hour on Mario Kart Monday, $1 wings and $6 drafts on Wing Wednesday, and half off a bottle of wine on Thirsty Thursday. Staple & Fancy (4739 Ballard Ave NW) posts daily 5–6 PM and Sunday–Thursday 8–9 PM with no item prices on the happy-hour page — the late window is the Ballard second act. Ballard is looser: walkable, weekly themed nights, and a reason to stay past 8.
